Assessment rolls

Assessment rolls list information for every property in the assessing unit (municipality or county). The information on the assessment roll is  available from your county website. All assessing units publish tentative and final assessment rolls annually. In most towns and cities, the tentative roll is published on May 1. At that time, you can check your assessment, market value and related information, as well as review the assessments of other properties in the community.

We encourage you to Check your assesmsment annually

Following publication of the tentative assessment roll, property owners have the opportunity to contest their assessments.                            See an Overview of the assessment roll.

After making any necessary adjustments, the final assessment roll is published on or around July 1.                                                                    Each year, property tax bills are based on the information on the final assessment roll.
